PSN hosted a conference call on December 1st at 4pm EST with national experts and legislative leaders to discuss Prescription Drug Reforms [1] and the 2010 Multi-State Agenda [2]. Speakers discussed policy details, how federal reform could impact these initiatives, and best practices for building campaigns and moving Rx reform initiatives.
Speakers included:
- Maine Rep. Sharon Treat [3] and Executive Director [4] of the National Legislative Association on Prescription Drug Prices [5] (NLARx), will discuss opportunities for states to reduce prescription drug costs and provide an update on federal reform provisions that will impact state efforts to control drug costs.
- Wisconsin Sen. Jon Erpenbach [6], Chair of the Senate Health, Health Insurance, Privacy, Property Tax Relief and Revenue, will discuss campaigns to limit drug industry marketing in doctor's offices.
- Jennifer Reck [7], Policy Analyst, Prescription Policy Choices [8], will discuss the importance of establishing Prescriber Education Programs, best practices from existing programs, and potential funding sources.
- Adam Thompson [9], Health Policy Specialist, Progressive States Network [10], will introduce PSN's 2010 multi-state Rx Reform campaign.
