• Making Care Less Taxing: Improving State Child and Dependent Care Tax Provisions: 2009 Update - This update to the National Womens Law Center's original report analyzes state and federal child tax credits and dependent care tax credits, analyzes how these credits help families, and discusses how they can be best designed.
• The State of Preschool 2008: State Preschool Yearbook - This report by the National Institute for Early Education Research highlights the national trends for enrollment in, quality of, policies for and spending on preschool in each state.  Half of 4-year olds now attend a publicly funded pre-K program with the vast majority of states experiencing increased enrollment in 2008.
