The Stateside Dispatch this morning took a hard look at immigration, ranging from progressive solutions for immigration related issues to cold, hard facts about why the right-wing tactics of demonize and divide do little to solve any problems and exacerbate America's problems in a host of ways.
The fact of the matter is that there are positive steps America's legislators can take to minimize the impact of corporate America's underground economy. And there are other steps that can be taken to remove incentives to immigrate: by fighting sweatshops abroad.
But it's important to remember something else amid the demonization campaign of the right. As this fiscal analysis from Georgia makes clear, even undocumented immigrants make huge contributions to this country in tax revenue.
Finally, last week we discussed immigration bills in Colorado. I thought it worth noting that local blogger Colorado Luis has offered his own thoughts on the matter.
